I'm sure that he puts on a fine show for those who show up to see him. I'm also sure that I have no desire to be one of those who shows up.
I'll second dcba's comment. I won't doubt Segal's desire or commitment as I don't know anything about it. I just know the tracks I've heard him play on wouldn't get me off the couch at home to see him play at my local bar.
Steven Seagal--wasn't he in a lot of action movies a la Chuck Norris? All these actors crossing over to music. Suddenly any actor thinks he can be a blues man.
I got to know the president of my old company pretty good. He had a passion for guitar collecting. I believe he had between 55 and 60 guitars. He couldn't play for S^&*. he had the money like Seagal. That's all.
Seagal was really big in the late 80's - early 90's as an action star like Van Damme. Above The Law, Out for Justice and Under Siege were big box office movies back then. He is a 7th degree black belt in Akido. I knew he was also a musician but didn't know he was touring. From the recent pics, he's put on a lot of weight! I remember he hosted Saturday Night Live and later on, producer Lorne Michaels said he something along the lines that he was the worst host ever.
