Wow amazing how many great musicians, writers, producers, ect. that were lost last year. Nice that the grammys give a nod to every one of them because they are all deserving. Many more listed than you get posted just before New Years when these things usually show up.

Steven Tyler should not sing a cappella ever.

So this is the state of today's music where two robots dominate the awards. And I thought I would never see that little troll Paul Williams on any stage ever again.

Daft Punk did bring back memories of this group: Residents

Why wasn't Paul with them for this award? Still some bad blood?

Thought it might be fun if we have a thread where we can all comment on the proceedings in real time. Show starts in 15 minutes. Right now, I'm just waiting for the Dominos Pizza guy to get here.

I saw a report yesterday on TV about Dominos Pizza. The worst food I ever seen. Now, people want to eat fastly and only Pizza, sushi, kebab and nems.
Well, dominoss pizza and daft punk, it's a nice party.
2 guys who haven't the bollocks to show their faces and playing a supermarket music and who refused to be nominate in their own country. I know it is their strategy but don't call that music.

I thought that the performance by Daft Punk was epic - Stevie, Nathan East, Nile Rodgers, Omar Hakim. Awesome band. Loved the album

I think it was a long time coming (Paul & Ringo, etc.), and I enjoyed the performance for what it was. It would've been nice if they did one more tune (say Ringo's 'It don't come easy').

Anyone get a look at Sean last night? Kinda looked like John on the cover of the Hey Jude album .... but older.

It kind of freaks me out to look at Smokey now, with all the work he's had done. Going the Little Richard route.

I DVRed it and it stopped recording at 11:30, right after Miranda Lambert and Billy Joe Armstrong sang their Everlys tribute. What happened after that? Maybe L L Cool J just said goodnight? I'm actually wondering if I missed any more Paul/Ringo moments.

Not sure who he is but the girl (who isn't Scarlett Johanson) is Pauley Perrette (Link is for Wikipedia site.) She's an actress on the popular US Crime Drama series "NCIS".

After reading thread's here and catching some news posts online, it appears I didn't miss much by falling asleep around 7:30 EASTERN (US) last night. At least I got a good night's sleep!

Peace,
Mr DJA

I'd dispute the "crap," plus this was obviously one of those disguised "lifetime achievement awards," given to bands who never won anything when they were active. And they totally deserve it, IMO.

I never heard about Draft Punk and the 2 rap clowns, who won the most Grammys. The song of the year sounds like a cat with tooth pain is crying.

How many Grammys have won The Rolling Stones and for what? Does that someone know?

Random thoughts

The Beyoncé JayZ number was close to pornographic and bad choice for opening of show.

Daft Punk was impressive song and line-up of artists.

Lorde a most pleasant surprise.

The Country foursome of Willie, Kris, Shelton and Haggard was great and surprisingly the audience seemed to dig it.

Carole King and Sara B were damned good.
