Nah, but I'd say your new avatar puts you in the running for the most ironic.

I wonder how it would have sounded if they played it at a slightly slower, looser boogie tempo, like Down the Road Apiece.

I never liked it. It is too noisy, too frantic, too bipolar. It might have been better if it were slowed down considerably, along the lines of the studio version of Respectable.
I would much rather listen to All Down the Line than this waste of three minutes or so.
There was I thinking I was the grumpiest member here.
Whatever gave you that idea?

Nah. The last thing that song needs is a Taylor guitar solo.

You mean it makes it too long.

... and some very relaxed counterplay by Taylor. He's throwing in some nice 7/13 fills and lovely melodies...

Rather than bothering with guitar widdle which disturbs the flow it would have rocked, swung and woooshed much better had he just focused in on the rhythm and helped power the engine along with Keith.

I simply cannot believe that no-one has mentioned Charlie's contribution yet. His performance demonstrates, definitively, what a jazz drummer can bring to rock n' roll. I've often thought that this song could be his single greatest recorded performance; the degree to which he makes it swing is just the absolute tops.
If you've got a drummer who you want to understand swing, then play them this.

I disagree. Keith and Charlie (as DD pointed out) provided enough rhythm. Taylor created the perfect balance, yin and yang so to speak.

If you don't like his playing so be it.

Some isolated tracks and a great cover ...especially the girl/Lady in green does a great job ...............

This song is the tits. Absolutely brilliant speed freak 100mph boogie with a hurricane wind blowing your sweet ass down the rock'n'roll highway.

I don't get why everybody is talking about the "fast" tempo. The tempo is medium on the Exile version.
