For those who fly into Hong Kong airport please note that you do not go into Hong Kong immigration but you go directly to the Macau fast ferries. Thanks to my good friend who informed me about this when we meet in Japan. It went smooth through HK and to Macau, but it took all day. Up 6am Tokyo, flight 10am, 5 h flight, ferry 1 hour, shuttle etc, more like a 12 hours operation. But this is Macau!

If you go back to HKG airport at the same way, I mean without through Hongkong immigration, you can get refund some airport service fee.

I arrived at Guangzhou, biggest city in south China.
Guanzhou has my most favourite dimsum restaurantthumbs up and Macau is 3.5 hours away by express bus.

So I am going to have morning tea and best dimsum breakfast, then head to Macau tomorrow.

Wow. What an adventure you guys are having. Be well and travel safe.
Can't wait for the live updates from Macau.

i wonder if I can upgrade my seat as Iam sitting up the back

I would definitely be upgrading myself to one of those VIP reserve blocks either side of the stage, if I were you, mandu. Yesterday it was possible to buy eight seats in a single row, so am sure there should be some free seats there. Look at cotaiticketing to see what sort of seats are available so you have an idea of where to head for. Good luck!

Yep, take your pick of where you want to sit I'd say, unless they throw the doors to the Venetian wide open tomorrow night and invite the public in. Below is just one of several rows in these two blocks opposite each other overlooking the tongue pit side-on (112 and 102), in which you can still buy 8 adjacent seats ............ and it's Saturday morning the day before the show.

Level: Lower
Section: 112
Row: T
Seat(s): 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14
MOP/HKD 3,580.00
8 x MOP/HKD 28,640.00
Total MOP/HKD28,640.00

Me thinks the Stones ain't as well known and loved in this part of the world as some promoters might have thought, not at these prices anyway !!

Needless to say it'll be jam packed on the night though, they'll pull some stunt or other to get bums on those seats.

Ironically we're all (over here) watching the weather in your part of the world, because of the awful news about the disappeared/crashed Malaysian plane.

Anyway, I hope you'll all have an amazing time, I'm having major withdrawal symptoms here!

There's already the song vote for Macau online: [www.rollingstones.com]

- All Down The Line

- Get Off Of My Cloud

- When The Whip Comes Down

- Live With Me

- Just My Imagination

- If You Can't Rock Me

I arrived at Zhuhai, a border city in mainland side.
Macau is only 500m away from here.

It is drizzling.
I hope it won't rain tomorrow.

When I try to access this thread (and only this thread) I get warnings about "problems with the security certificate for this site". Last Post, however, is OK.

Anyone else having this problem?

The reason was that latvianinexile had posted his selfie picture with secure option (address to picture https - changed into http). I changed it so you would not get this message anymore.

I never heard from Mandu, so if any long time IORR members are in Macau and would like to upgrade to a pit ticket, please POST IN THIS THREAD and send me an email. No charge but we need to communicate so that I can issue a Letter of Authorization to pick up the ticket from the Cotai Ticketing counters in the Venetian. I don't want it to go to waste. First post gets it, but please only if you are going to use it personally.

Yes please, my travelling companion BEAST would like that pit ticket, she has been let down at the last minute by a scalper here in HK. We are in HK right now and will take the ferry tomorrow morning to Macau, please contact her direct through this website or at jivingsisterfanny@gmail.com.

Waiting for your reply, thank you.

Cheers
