Why do we fight about this we all know who is better

Maybe they can all have a fist fight and that will determine who's better!

What a mind-blowing version. I'm getting sentimental just like the girls starting 1:45 ... Overwhelming!

What a beautiful song. Just gorgeous.

It's like the Red Sox and Yankees, they have a rivalry and fans argue about them constantly, although it is clear which team is better.

I've never thought of the Beatles and the Stones as a rivalry. Since they each have distinctive style, music, etc., there's enough appeal in both to actually enjoy both.

Moreover, with exception of Lennon's remarks to Wenner, there's no indication that either The Beatles or The Rolling Stones actually cared about the so-called rivalry.

My favorite Beatle. So sad he's gone. Concert For Bangladesh has always been one of my favorite things of all time. Just loved the spirit this guy had, and courage when he always seemed like such a shy guy but went out there and just was a rock star.

To a beautiful soul. Flawed, yet someone who sought for more, and always with a great humor. Hari Krishan, hari rama, hari deva, sadu sadu sadu.

On this lovely snow day from school. Portage Michigan got around 17 inches of lake effect snow. I spent the day listen to a beautiful Japanese import copy of All Things Must pass. Stunning and epic. A man bearing his soul. Inspired by his pain to look for the light in life and share with his fans. Such a mystical beautiful work. So inspired by The Band, Dylan, and Delainy and Bonnie. A unique British twist on American roots music. Love.

My Beatles crush when I was a young girl. A flawed person who tried to do good and made some beautiful music. Can't ask for more from life. The cancer thing sucks.

George was very special. Was just talking together with my wife about him a few days ago. I pointed out that he was really at the top during the years 68-71. Actually he topped John and Paul sometimes during those years. I like his character too. He had great perspective. Thanks to him for coming along and sharing with us.

Hi Rank,
When I open your link is a separate page there is an endless file of information like the red pages, news paper clippings and so on.
Realy interesting.
Thanks.

I also found out I can download each page seperately by clicking the daisy wheel in the slide show, so will save all that I like to my HD (will keep me busy for a while)

Inexpensive for those who can afford an $3,500 portable Player like the Astell&Kern AK380 -- 16bit/44.1kHz FLAC sounds probably like a Compact Cassette on this Player .... winking smiley

Almost makes more sense to buy the Apple USB if you can find it for the same price. Plus it makes a nice paperweight/desk ornament.winking smiley

OT:Michael Jackson Estate to sell Beatles publishing company
Posted by: jlowe ()
Date: March 16, 2016 17:48

Reports from US business journals seem to indicate that by the end of March 2016 the Estate of Michael Jackson will have concluded a deal to sell their half share in the Sony/ATV music publishing company to the Sony corporation.
This means that virtually all of the Lennon/McCartney copyrights will be owned by Sony.
The deal is worth about $750 million dollars.
MJ's original purchase back in 1985 valued the Beatles Northern Songs and other titles at around $47 million.
So not so Mad Jacko after all.
It will help towards paying off The Estates debts and of course they are currently in a long running dispute with the IRS who are asking for millions.
Jacko's own compositions are not included in the deal.
Sony also own the EMI Publishing catalogue which administers many Jagger/Richards titles written in the 70's and 80's.
