japanese DVD+2CD

japanese Blu-ray+2CD

japanese Deluxe Edition Blu-ray+DVD+2CD+3LP

The prices are unfortunately not lower than on Amazon.co.jp ..... sad smiley

That's a lot more expensive than if you buy it at Amazon.co.jp.
I have ordered the box for 140 euro incl p&p costs (122 euro for the box alone)

Sadly not, you have to have an account for each Amazon you use.

Yes, but it would be interesting if you have to pay additionally a import tax and VAT.

I'm a tad confused about these prices. I'm looking at the deluxe set on the German Amazon, and it's 32.99 euro, plus shipping etc. Are we talking about the same euros? confused smiley

Never mind--as far as I can see, the vinyl isn't included with that version, or the JPC one. So it's only the Japanese deluxe that has vinyl+DVD+blu-ray+CDs+book?

European Deluxe Edition: DVD + Blu-ray + 2CDs + 60p-Book. Max. 19 tracks.

Japanese Deluxe Edition: 3LP + DVD + Blu-ray + 2CDs, possibly Book. 20 tracks including 'Emotional Rescue'.

Thank you, Irix. You're saving my head from exploding.

Looks like there isn't a version I want that contains the book, unless the Japanese version turns out to contain it (as it sounds like it might).

Edit: Seems if I buy the European deluxe, plus the vinyl separately, the lot will cost about 66 euros, though I'll still end up with a surplus DVD. Am I misreading that price (which would be about $100, plus shipping and etc.)?

Yes, but it would be interesting if you have to pay additionally a import tax and VAT.

The way I understand it, the European amazon has already covered the duty/VAT, which is why it's charging you more.
If you live in the EU and order it from an EU vendor, you won't get charged duty/VAT in addition.
Caveat: That's my understanding of it. But ask amazon.

Yes, for those who can live without 'Emotional Rescue' on DVD/Blu-ray, a combination of the european Deluxe Edition (33€) plus the 3LP-Box (33€) would be the more efficient way. The combination of the european Deluxe Edition plus a separate single japanese DVD or Blu-ray would be efficient too, if you want the 60p-Book and 'Emotional Rescue' on DVD/Blu-ray.

I went for the Japanese Blu Ray, 2cd version. With the book I'll wait until it is released and see what it contains. maybe it will not be worth buying after all, we'll see...

Right, but what I meant was if you buying from Amazon Japan.

It's outside the EU, so it's possible that you have to pay customs duty and VAT (in Germany 19%).

Example: japanese Deluxe-Edition 122 € + 18 € shipping costs + 3.5% duty (4.20 €) + 19% VAT (26.60 €) = total 170.80 €.

No customs duty for instance in Germany below a item value of 150 EUR, but it can be different in other countries.

Oh - in that case I can tell you from experience that you'll pay duty and VAT on orders from Japan to the EU,
unless the item is inexpensive or you get lucky with customs agents not noticing an expensive one.
I've had single discs delivered from Japan without duty/VAT being imposed, but even double DVDs have gotten "caught".

I think I've come full circle. I just realized that the European non-ER option, for US peeps, is just the same as the US version, only we'd pay a lot for shipping. Duh! So it's only the Japanese version that makes any sense. IF it contains the book.

Hell with it, I think I'll just wait for the US release. Who wants my spare DVD?

Not true. Not sure about Amazon.jp but I only have one account and I purchase from .co.uk, .ca, .com and .de all the time.

Oh no! Not another live record! When will they stop? Move to the south of France again and record for a year and make a new good studioalbum instead. We been waiting for it since Some girls. Enough! And start to have descent prices for tickets again. Everybody that goes to Stones concerts ain't working on Wall Street even if Mick think so since he got his Sir title. And Keith ain't no better himself.

Wasn't there once a 'whiney bitch' thread...I think this would better suit that thread.

Can anyone explain how many songs i will get if i only buy the japanese blu-ray or DVD? What more tracks will they include compared to european version?

"Whiney Bitch" is right. I'm not going to wet my pants for this one. It's irrelevant whether it has 16 or 24 songs on it. I will buy this when it's down to five box at my local Dressman dealer.
Maybe, if I'm lucky, I will get a pair of socks on top of that deal also!

Once again, many thanks for keeping track of all that. smiling smiley

It seems to me that to get everything I want (which includes the book), I can either buy it from Japan and spend a bunch on shipping and maybe import taxes etc., or double dip in the US and get free shipping from Amazon and end up with an extra DVD. So my extra cash will either go on shipping, or an a DVD which I can either sell or give to someone who'd enjoy it. So I think that's what I'll do. I wish we knew what the various US packages are going to cost, though.

I remember going through all this last year with the Zeppelin Celebration Day sets.

So Japan gets the Blu-ray+CD, while Amazon UK only advertises a stand-alone Blu ray. But you can buy the CD seperately for another £16. What's so special about Japan?

Japanese Blu-ray+2CD = £69.75 total, 20 tracks on Blu-ray, including 'Emotional Rescue'.
