I thought the thread title indicated the 50 greatest live acts (guitar solos, vocal lines, etc.) per each Rolling Stone.

But no, it's the magazine with another list. Stones no. 3? I imagine Mr. Jagger will be phoning Mr. Wenner to correct the list rankings, otherwise RS won't get no more satisfaction on exclusive interviews with the RSs.

That makes The Stones number 1 by default, as the list is compiled based on road performance in 2013.

Pretty ho hum generic & politically correct. Although I don't care much for modern country, I hear Kenny Chesney puts on a pretty good show. A couple of bands that aren't huge but are phenomenal live: Guided by Voices & Flaming Lips. For older bands one that still puts on a great show is Alice Cooper. Watched one of the metal festivals on Palladia & Alice blew them away. Don't seem to like the guitar gods either. No Jeff Beck not to mention Gary Clark Jr. Or Joe Bonamossa for that matter. Jeff Beck has blown me away every time I've seen him.

Wow I have seen the first three. Although I would put Bruce and Stones on the same level, but Prince although fab in his prime should not IMO be before the Stones. He played an overlong guitar solo and just lost my attention.

U2 and Macca didn't make the top 10 - and the Who isn't even on the list...

I would love to see Prince nowadays. Miles said he is a genius, and he was right. And the drummer is HOT.

Most overrated show.
Sure he can play guitar. Sure the guy knows music.
But his show is one big medley, and I hate medleys.
Put some 'got the funk' and 'this is where the party at' -shouts in between and you've got yourself a Prince show.

I used to be a massive fan, seen him 4 times. But a fifth time is out of the question.

PRINCE at #2??? I LOVED Prince in his 80's heyday but come on--this is 2013--how could he possibly come before the Rolling Stones NOW? When does he even perform? And Patti Smith--LOVE her--but this is supposed to be a list of CURRENT performers--does she even do concerts anymore?
