I don't know what he made on the recent tour, but it's a safe bet that he got his best paychecks at least since his 1984 tour with Bob Dylan, enough to leave him set for life.

The number, and story behind Taylor's "guest starring role", will eventually be revealed (as a lot of things like this about The Stones usually are). Somewhere, someone has the contract(s), and eventually they will share the info for those who wonder... heck, Taylor himself might tell us, he might earn more on a book deal "Telling Stones Tales" (feel free to use that title Taylor) than he ever has on a music deal.
