Dude is awesome. I love Ronnie, but...damn, MT can really play. Too bad they didn't treat him better back in the day...

Hey, Send It To Me, any criticism against Ronnie on this tour would be completely unfair, IMO... My opinion about Mick Taylor: Yes, he did a good job, but not at the level of a "guitar Messiah", as many imagine him today.

Fans..Just like he did in 1969. Rock on.

I was there...they treated Mick Taylor fine. With the exception of the reality of Keith's growing drug problem which was difficult for anyone with any sensitivity to deal with.

What the hell are you on about...jesus christ the guys 70...he looks better than ever.
Whos gonna chastize someone that can come onstage and perform like keef has done at his age. Hes been on a hiding to nothing for years from anti fans.

He will need a decent aray of prescription stuff for things anyway. At 70 its time to stop worrying and start saying thanks.

I really enjoyed Mick T. during Midnight Rambler @ The O2 in London. That was the ultimate best version of this song in a Rolling Stones concert. He should rejoin this great band.

Also Mick Taylor's guitar solo in "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" at Glastonbury Festival is the absolute killer!!

What compelled you to comment on this. You mentioned above that you're referring to 1969.

You were where ? Oh, there.
Oh, well obviously you must be an SME then.

I wonder how he deals with this "change" in his life
and if he gets the "after tour blues" now that everything´s finished

Ronnie was too low in the mix at most shows. Thoughtout many recordings you can hear, in the distance, that he is playing beautiful notes, and Keith is 2x as loud.

Keith did great this tour for his age. Very solid playing for the most part. Some mistakes here n there but I love the fact that he just focused on playing this time around. It paid off bigtime!

Taylor did a great job. At times he was more inspired than others. Frequently he impressed, and very rarely did he hit bum notes or seem lost. His playing is beautiful, different, and a joy to hear. There is a reason that Rambler was a highlight at every single show... And in Chicago (31st) the loudest reaction all night was on CYHMK and Rambler.

Mick Taylor brought life back to the Stones!
He's incredible!
Hopefully if there's more gigs later on he'll be there to kick our asses!

Been Stoned since 1964 and still am!

What is a bit sad is that they made "Midnight Rambler" such a Taylor number. With or without him they deliver the song greatly, but from now on "Rambler" without Taylor feels like a torso.

So part of me hopes that they had saved "Rambler" from Taylor, and chose another tune to be "taylored". They really don't him to uplift that song.

Yeah, I guess there is... but it is very speculative stuff altogether, not much cash value... But for me "Midnight Rambler" has been an exception to a rule throughout all these Vegas years - suddenly they have always founded that old spark of theirs to that number, and they sound like... you know, the greatest rock and roll band in the world. But of course, now when they added Taylor on it, it went to a new sphere. Of which I don't complain at all! But Taylor might helped a bit more on some other songs, where they actually might have needed more a helping hand.

A song they knew they would perform excellently was of course a good choice to have a guitarist, who hadn't played with the band on a regular basis for 40 years, to guest on.
