Speaking of The Basement Tapes...

‘Lost’ Bob Dylan lyrics make for ‘New Basement Tapes’ project

A trove of two dozen unfinished Bob Dylan songs written circa 1967 during his “Basement Tapes” period are being completed by an all-star band assembled by producer T Bone Burnett and including Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford and My Morning Jacket’s Jim James for release as an album and Showtime special this year.

Interesting idea - but the involvement of Elvis (Jack of all trades) Costello and Marcus Mumford instantly makes this a turn off - for me.

I saw him last Friday at Zepp Tokyo.
He played Huck's Tune before 2000 people.
Has he ever played this song on live?

Why is this thread going on since there are no Dylan's next Bootleg Series Announced 2014.
Let it sink and start up a new thread if Dylan's gonna be discussed.

There's the never ending tour and there's the never ending bootleg series, with more series to be announced, just as sure as there will be new dates announced on the never ending tour--it's Dylan, so it's never ending, and a Dylan thread should be never ending, like a sentence in a post about the never ending tour never ending, it's a thread that's never ending, it just goes on never ending with a never ending ellipse....

No, self-employed--and let me tell you, the work is never ending, like Dylan's never ending tour and his never ending bootleg series and these never ending threads on never ending topics with discussions that are never ending....

There's a new song on bobdylan.com (Full Moon and Empty Arms), and there's probably a covers album on the way.

They should make a complete Blood On The Tracks outtakes albums including his demos which I don't believe have ever been issued - bootleg or otherwise.

The album cover design (assuming it will be like the one posted on Dylan's website) reminds me of Saul Bass' title sequence on The Man With the Golden Arm.

I've saw this some weeks ago, and there's a lot of versions of Tangled Up in Blue that I've never heard before. [bigozine2.com]

Columbia promised this like 20 years ago and it still hasn't materialized. Zimmy must not want it out for some reason.
