What year?

2007.
No, really seriously, I´m horribly afraid that its Keefsters arthritis that has worsened. Of course this is partly speculation, but anyone can see his fingers (esp. his left hand, I believe; but also the right) on recent pics. Might delay the date of confirmation.
Of course less potentially fatal factors could have been obstacles as well: The album may have smashed its schedule.

a) I was unaware it was up to the Glimmer Twins to book the venues

b) the fact that it isnt near finished yet may be a factor

I think that once an arthritis gets worse, it never again gets better.
So it wouldn't delay the tour, but cancel at all.

As long as he can run and jump on stage, it can't be that bad. Nobody has arthritis in his fingers only smiling smiley

Is this arthritis thing for real, and important, or just another "rumour"???

Has Keith ever speak about this problem?

Yes, he has mentioned it in the past, but hs obviously played it down.

and no, its not a rumour, he's had it for many years. First time I heard about it was in 1998 and even THAT long ago it was at such an advanced stage that he could no longer get his skull ring off his finger.

His fingers look much worse now than they did then. However, its got no relevance to the fact that a tour hasnt been announced yet. It's simply too early. Thats all.

Keith discussed it on the Today show a couple of years ago. it's very obviously troubling him....and that became quite apparent in his playing on much of the Licks tour...the precision he demonstrated even as recently as '99 is gone. the show will roll on nonetheless.

Sorry if I frightened some of you good people out there.
But as Gazza said (always listen to Gazza, folks!) it´s
a) A real state, no rumour BUT
b) His arthritis has NO- confirmed - connection with the delay of the record.
...Still it could have indirectly connection; like it may affect his confidence (which rarely has failed).

My grandpa had arthritis but in the spine/back; and he couldnt get out of bed the last time.

Anyway; it was stupid of me to bring it up... But it worries me to death. - Yet:

I´ve read about this disease, and there are apparently ways to calm the course of events; and - maybe most important - its worse in the mornings. We all know what ol Keefster usually is doin in the mornings (zzzz)...
