He was with his wife and another couple. There was a bit of "Oh no - I've been recognized look on his face, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to speak with him, even if it was extremely brief.

We were standing outside of the museum watching people have their photo taken at the Rocky statue when Ronnie casually strolled by. Many on this board have met Ron and other members of the band, but I have not. It was a surreal moment - not wanting to bother him, I simply said - "hello Mr. Wood - thanks for the great show last night." He said thanks, nodded and made his way up the famous steps. It was quite a treat to see Ronnie in an out of context situation.

Next time you(or anyone else) see(s) Ronnie, would you please say thanks from me too. Thanks!

i was at an event with neil young once where it would have been totally reasonable to introduce myself and say thanks. i almost did, but i just gave him a meaningful look and a nod instead. hopefully he got the message without any awkwardness. what always strikes me about meeting most people in show business in person is how much shorter they are than they seem to be...

Most tall people from early on in life get so many kudos for their impressive height that it deadens their edge to be creative.
Plus, the shorter a person is, the easier it is to fit their image onto the zoom of a camera lens.

Most people, tall or short, wouldn't buy that argument. Are you being serious?
