My thoughts too

Maybe the final bow, or a word from Mick will clear it up...

Why so depressing? One guy said Ronnie @#$%& up an intro. Keith does that on 50% of all songs on any given gig.

And most of the solos as well.

How hard would it have been to get Leon Russell to join them for a JJF that sounded like a revival, or even get Buddy Guy, who played last night in NOVA to join for Champagne & Reefer or even Goin Down?

YES, I hear you, Mick, that people want to hear warhorses, and Stones' gigs DO require some of those. However, it is unfortunate when the 5th - 8th songs are the only variables in the set list from night to night. It is also anti-climatic when Worried About You (a wonderful song which I saw in the Aragon in 2002) is the "out" song for the night.......

I am sure that the UK shows, particularly the Hyde Park gigs will have their share of special guests and one-offs, and I cannot wait to "see" them.

Wake me up before you go-go, and don't leave me hanging on like a yo yo!!!!!

Kick me like you kicked before
I can't even feel the pain no more

I saw the Boston show on the 14th and Keith was on for the whole show.

It's unusual for Woodie to mess up, but I'll need to see it for myself. Pictures at 11, as they used to say...

BTW, I hope I'm wrong as well about "the last time"--especially after posting my optimistic thoughts on the subject on page 1 of this thread.

I, too, have the "Live In Hawaii" 1966 live set that TimeIs referenced above. Mick was obviously just joking around at that show.

All we need is a report of an off night, a short setlist and a couple of tweets, and...

May they continue to be disappointed!

Yes, what Mick should have said is, "Take a long look at Brian. This is the last time you'll see him in concert with us in the States. We'd fire him now but it will much more fun later. Aloha!"

He almost turned out to be right. 3 years in the 60s (Aftermath - Let It Bleed, Revolver - Abbey Road) is the equivalent of 30 years of development now. grinning smiley

Ronnie is playing poorly? but based on the sloppy Gimme Shelter thread, doesn't bad mean good?

Any Snowden sightings in the crowd, maybe he had a connecting flight in DC.

Leon Russell was playing in a small theater in Morgantown WV, about a week ago......so doable.

Would be great if they would play Fingerprint File in the encore set.

No guest and no CYHMK? Very surprising. Was expecting a powerhouse set tonight.

Although I wish they didn't get SFM... now Toronto #1 is less special. winking smiley
