I see some live versions (1999) on youtube and they are awful. It is difficult to do live so I doubt it will be performed 2013

Hopefully, if it is played and MT doesn't, it's because he was asked and passed. I can't see Ronnie not asking him at least. Unlike Sway and Knocking, I don't think MT has ever touched this one live. Although he didn't really touch Rambler live all these years either, and he was more or less locked in after the second London show.

Where are the pre-show festivities?

I have seen 4 shows this tour and from my observations I think those lower sections on the side are really nice, right on top of the stage. Most of the time the 1st ten rows are not there because of the stage configuration. My guess is the 1st row in that section will actually be 11 or 12.

i sat side stage lower level. it was incredible. i was also worried about obstruction, etc. but in oakland at least there were no obstructions and 4th row really was 4th row. the rows got better the closer they were.

i think these seats are the best value for the money. (note: i haven't looked at a seat map of the arena tonight, so my comments are in general, not that specific section.)

i'm sure you know this, but keith had problems with water rats at redlands, and shot them. not sure if he had geese or fed them the corpses, but i doubt it.

Yeah, I reckon ... but then: they have the best sound engineers on earth - so that could be done easily: just more HEAVVY (bass, guitar) ...

It is a tough one. As I recall, Charlie might as well have been playing Stray Cat Blues in '99. But I remember a debate on the old Stones usenet group in the late '90s about whether they could pull off CYHMK. It can be done obviously, and so can MM. They just need to focus for a couple of hours and really see it through as far as the tempo and who does what. It doesn't have to sound just like the original. The verses on the live versions were OK, but the chorus really needs to kick into a different gear. Timing and certain slide licks that compliment the chorus are key. First order of business would be not rushing the song!
