Anyone remember the 1999 album "Memory Hotel"?

The one that didn't come out? Yeah! I remember it very well! It's excellent.

Like all quality stones fans, I have a copy of this. I also have a couple of still sealed copies of the vinyl version...haven't checked what that one is worth in quite a while.
would you be selling any of those records by any chance

The Stones have this new ITunes store and No Security isn't there either. Of course there's a lot of missing things, like Rarities and assorted B-sides, even though they advertise something as The Complete Collection from 1971-2013. I guess No Security never happened, and Everything is Turning To Gold was only a dream.

Remember, they've released EITTG at least 48 times prior to whatever this new thing is now on iTunes. Everyone that would want it already has it. This new thing is the equivalent of giving a caveman a microwave.

I remember the talk of a release. And I remember hearing some bogus track names being banded about ('Poor Little Johnny Glass' and '3 Valley Place' being the two I still recall)

I have my doubts as to how close to fruition this project actually was. Or even if it was ever a project at all.

Check out the news page entry here for 21st May 1999.

Ten days before a release date of an album for which no one ever saw a single confirmed song title mentioned let alone a full track listing, no radio station got a song for advance airplay, no one ever saw the album's artwork and no music critic ever got a copy to review? Pretty much an impossible scenario even in 1999.

After May 31st came and went , it was simply never mentioned again on any news site. It was if it had never existed. Which was probably the case.

in america i have purchased dozens of used items from amazon sellers and they were all legit and in good quality

thanks for that.

Will look into buying one and hope its the real deal.

If you don't want to buy from amazon, I can send you a No Security CD, as I have two of them.

Papo,

Are you still around?[/quote]

Oh, sorry, have been away fo a while and couldn't get online...
Anyway, if you still need that CD, I can send you one. It's used, but it's okay. It's free, of course.

Could it be the Memory Motel promotional CD that was released in June 1999 ?

I wonder if this will be part of a wider offering...a new reissue of all the live albums to date, including the 'bootleg series' in box set form, like they first did in 2010 with the 63-69 and 71-05 vinyl series.

No, you're not. It is indeed a great live album for the hard core fans.

Out Of Control aspires to be one of the single best live recordings by the Stones ever, imo. thumbs up

IMO, this CD is worth it for the live versions of Gimme Shelter and Out of Control. I know the version of Gimme Shelter is available elsewhere, but for those of us who don't prowl the "secondary" markets, it's a good find.

As for what the couple on the cover look like today, I understand Will and Kate are expecting very soon.
