that's cool. men like stupid women. they'll never be as stupid as us, but it's nice when the difference isn't so extreme.

that ranking makes sense.
unfortunately, all i saw so far (this year) were KP and SC...
and I must rank Katy Perry way above Ms. Crow.

Florence Welch by a mile. I thought she was about to kill Mick!

Stunning thumbs up

Jeff Beck, the best guest to me. And he proved that you still can play the guitar at a high level when you're 69 of age.

Fogerty was pretty bad.

Carrie Underwood was really bad.

Taylor Swift was okay.

Katie Perry harmony not in sync.

Florence Welch who I never heard of, did an excellent job.

I'm disappointed that there hasn't been a 'Rate The Best Choir' thread yet.

Will Bob Dylan be a guest?

Dylan could reprise his epic versions of Brown Sugar from 2002.

Bruce Springsteen guest appearance in New Jersey 2012 concert

I don't usually like very much about those singer guest appearances,

there are some rare ones I like though and Bruce in 2012 is one of those,

In Tumbling Dice, it's just so much fun and the chemistry between Bruce and Mick is perfect, I just watched it again and it gets better every time I watch it.

I also think Christina Aguilera's and Sheryl Crow's guest appearances a few years ago were ok but not outstanding.

I love Bruce so his guest appearance was a lot of fun. I didn't think it was anything extraordinary, but he did very well and really helped that song.

Having said that, I LOVE Christina Aguilera's guesting on Live With Me and I'm not a fan of her at all. I thought she totally killed it though. All of the Shine A Light guest appearances were excellent when I come to think of it.

As a fan of both, I found it a bit underwhelming.

The Stones sounded like a band who had had played 5 shows in 5 years (althouygh the show was otherwise very good)....and Bruce sounded like he had just come off a 90-date tour a day or two before (again, the shows he'd been playing were terrific). It was ok, but it just didnt quite mesh for me.

It wasn't a good choice of song for a duet. Had they played 'Who Do You Love' (a song Bruce has played before and which the Stones had played earlier in the set with The Black Keys) it would have torn the roof off the place.

I was at that show in Newark when Bruce played and it was fun to watch. He did a decent job - one of the few guest artists that actually seemed to really know the song they were singing - and is on par with Mick as one one of the all-time great rock performers, but Tumbling Dice was't the best song choice and didn't seem to suit his voice particularly well. It would have been fun to hear him sing a song he has done live before like The Last Time, or even a cover like Route 66 or Not Fade Away. Like A Rolling Stone could have been great too. The best part about it was the energy in the arena and the crowd's reaction to seeing Bruce on stage with the Stones, in New Jersey. It was a memorable moment.

that indeed would have been quite special. Much easier to appreciate than merely watching it on TV

When I watched it first time on TV it didn't feel so special but now that I have watched it several times it somehow feels better every time and now I really love that... And I'm not a big Springsteen fan, I like some of his songs though. And Keith really smiles when he watches Jagger and Springsteen performing together.

Yes, there is something special with Christina's appearance, the energy is really something in her singing, the melody line she is singing just feels like she wouldn't know the song really well.

I could have lived without David Grohl who just trashed his guitar like a bitch. I liked Tom Waits, John Fogerty and Bonnie Raitt in 2013. Forgerty was priceless and it was funny how he read the lyrics from the prompter as I was just front on the side.
2012 we saw Clapton in a phenomenal Champagne and Reefer which John Mayor was good but not able to cope with Eric. Florence Welsh was good, but hey, it is definetely Lisa's Song.

Out of all Mick Taylor gave by far the best Input of course.

Florence Welch was the only one worth a damn, for me, both in terms of her performance and the song they got her to do. She was awesome: listening to that version of Gimme Shelter actually got me into Florence & The Machine for a couple of days.

Everyone else (except Jeff Beck on Goin' Down, I guess) has performed poorly or at best forgettably, which in some cases may be related to the song they ended up playing/singing on.

Six Days On The Road (Taj Mahal)
John Mayer + Gary Clark Jr (I'm Goin' Down)
Tom Waits (Little Red Rooster)
Aron Neville (Under The Boardwalk)
