Any fan(s) out here? Just curious.

I saw them last night in NYC at the Highline Ballroom and they were spectacular.

LOL!

They had so much energy for a quartet (2 of which are above 60), it was insane. They didn't need a younger audience magnet.

how can they call themselves the greatest rock and roll band in the world if they don't have guest hot chick singers??

They were bottom of the bill of the greatest gig I ever went to. It was the gig that broke punk in the UK in 1976 and everybody who anybody on the punk scene claims to have been there.

I love the Stranglers.

It's not the same without Hugh though.

Like the Jam without Paul Weller... a good gig.. but not the same.

Always liked the stranglers and went to see them many years ago, when they was probably around their peak times.

Yes, Cornwell will be at the Highline Ballroom on December 8th I think.
The VIP ticket (which includes a meet & greet) is priced at... $45!

You would barely get a beer at a Stones' concert for that price...

Jet is in England. He doesn't travel anymore and only plays partial sets in England due to health issues.

Saw The Stranglers in a high-school auditorium in Ottawa and it must have been 77 or 78. The played great and people were completely insane. Beer bottles rolling down the aisles and the air was blue...and it wasn't cigarette smoke. Went with two friends and one was a die-hard C&W fan. Gotta remember this was when C&W was real bad (not that it has gotten any better in my mind). They just passed through Toronto last week and I was sorry to have missed them.

Excitable Band!

I remember Jean-Jacques punched the hell out of security guards from the stage in Tokyo.smiling smiley

Jean-Jacques and Carl Palmer( EL&P ) were well-known karate black belt.
