in the 70's it was punk, in the 90;s it was grunge, whats the new genre of rock music going to come from? i just ran across the black angels out of austin, texas kinda 60's retro but i really like them, i love the stones etc but we need fresh bands , are all we will hear is hip hop justin bieber types or watered down country

well, everything seems to be coming from China these days...

Recycle and reuse...it's the right thing to do...

I don't care where the new bands come from.
Or if they come at all.

I was 12 when the Beatles came to the US.
Then the Rolling Stones.
I was 15 when Jimi played Monterey.

I grew up with the best bands. None could compare with those bands from my time.
Sure- there have been lots of good bands since then. Many.
That's fine. I have enjoyed many of them.

No one takes the Beatles' place. Or the Rolling Stones. Or dear Jimi.
Mick and Keith are 8 years older than me. I don't expect we will be around in another 10 years. That's okay.
I have had a great time enjoying THE BEST rock and roll.

There seems to be quite a few very promising rock bands nowadays, there are plenty of pop bands and pop singers and of course metal bands, but oddly somehow very good traditional rock bands are missing or there are only a few.

Here is where they should come from....

....because garage rock is a genre that never gets old, never sounds dated.

Rock Bands should start writing songs that are relevant and mean something.

Like some punk bands did in the 70s.
