Fenway would be a poor place for a Stones concert - anyone who's been there knows of what I speak.

So was Comiskey park in Chicago. Didn't stop 'em though. Admittedly Soldier Field was being remodeled.

I wondered why they went to Comisky for Licks. I agree though that it was a horrible venue.

it's not that fenway would suck for the show, because it would... there is no tailgating for concerts at fenway...there is no fun unless you get a couple of beers and steaks under the belt with a decent bootleg cranking...no can do at boston...

I'm sure the Stones would play Gillette in Boston on the upcoming tour. They'll probably be the first band to play new Soldier Field. I don't think anyone's played there since it reopened. During the Licks Tour, I think Comiskey would have been the only stadium venue available. Does anyone in Chicago know if any band has ever played Wrigley Field before?

Jimmy Buffett is playing Wrigley Field on September 2 and 4.

"Does anyone in Chicago know if any band has ever played Wrigley Field before?'

Too small. Too old. Too close to the neighborhood.

They'll go back to Soldier Field or mutiple nights at the United Center. Or both.

Buffet would not be as loud but surely the crowd w/be every bit as nuts.

The Stones played Turner Field (open air baseball) in Atlanta in 2002 and it was a much better venue than the Georgia Dome (football dome).
