Keith's Song Selection

I wonder if Keith will eventually mix it up a little? Love Before They Make Me Run and Happy, but would love to see other stuff played.

Thoughts?

Little T & A or You Got The Silver would be nice.

I wonder if he'll mix up his onstage banter instead of still saying "It's good to be here, it's good to be anywhere..."

a little redundant, cos thru & thru is the worst song he's ever done....

Its not about what he or her best songs is for keith or anyone else. Happy BTMMR are stale

I agree Happy and BTMMR are stale. It works me because I've only seen the Stones once, and my Keith section wasn't those songs (it was You Got The Silver and Little T&A), so I am greatly looking forward to hearing two more great Keith songs. But I can understand others that have seen all of these countless times to be annoyed. The only way to make his set less stale is if he played a different two each night, then he'd basically be played a different set of songs every two weeks. Or if he played coming Down Again which he could gladly do every night and not get stale.

Thank you for the clarity...I do NOT understand the love this crap song...
Clearly Mick shoulda sang it and left Love Is Strong to Keith...

Doesn't look like it does it...Happy is going to be hard to drop, but BTMMR could alternate with another one in my book.

There may be a reason for sticking with these two numbers. For one thing, there are certainly less bathroom breaks if Keith sticks to up tempo numbers.

What Keith is doing now works very well - two of my favorites. Got the Silver would be fine but I am very cool with Before They Make Me Run & Happy - thrilled actually.

Thanks Keith - last night in Vegas ROCKED! (Appreciated your Blessing to all who attended after your set as well as your victory lap near the end of Satisfaction. Many Thanks Mate.) smiling smiley

If you 'be followed the Stones over the years, Keith doesn't mix things up much. For anyone seeing the Stones for the first time, Happy and BTMMR are the ones you want to hear.

Name me some others Keith has done

I miss Mick's singing with Keith on Happy.. It is my favorite memory of seeing them in the 70's. Wood's got to lose the lap steel and play some chords. Ronnie is a strange masochistic cat, he played slide along with Bonnie Raitt for Let It Bleed, sports a Les Paul for jamming with Taylor when he rarely uses one otherwise. Keith needs some help on happy and in Tumblin' Dice, the lap steel is stupid..

Keith was never braver than 1997 when he debuted both "Wanna Hold You" and "All About You" as well as TITN and YDHTMI (and the one performance of HCIS).

Happy's probably a staple, but I'd love to hear You Got the Silver or T&A. But Before They Make Me Run is great, too.

If he's going to play the same songs every night at least he could remember the words

I'd like to hear him sing Little Rock 'n Roller just 'cause it's a favorite of mine, but I'll just be thrilled to see him sing anything on Wednesday, actually.

Happy and BTMR are both great numbers but I would love to hear some others as well (connection, TA, wanna hold you, coming down again).

If I remember right based on reports from rehearsals he hasn't rehearsed any other solo songs for this tour than Happy and BTMR? So the chances to hear other songs are close to zero I'm afraid.

I Think he sould keep Before They Make Me Run, Happy doesn't sound so good anymore.

I could live without his solo spot.

How about an old, whimsical chestnut:
"Something Happened to me Yesterday" (from Between the Buttons). I believe KR sang opening and ending vocals? Sure would befuddle the crowd!

I don't like Happy live of the last 25 years, don't like the way Keith has changed it, at all

It's sole purpose is probably to allow Mick to have a break.
