Here's the complete song and best version of SFTD ever. Enjoy His M:

Listen to the drums.

Charlie is doing a neat little shuffle thing I don't think he's done for years.

This version is the best.

To be fare, the soloing isn't any more off than the R&R Cricus version. grinning smiley

It's the YaYa's version plus the missing verse which is inserted.

I know, but that makes it different from the Ya-Ya's version. VT22 likes that it is missing a verse. winking smiley

It's not the worst version I've heard smiling smiley

Chuck is making this song sound way too nice, with his honky tonkin' on the ivories. Mick is singing it better than on previous tours. Keith is ok, although he is skipping the Ya Ya's-riffs on the version that he played (in a truncated form) in London last year.

Best version is the studio. Close second the best 75 versions (LYL is one of them) - wild!

Of the rest of the world, interesting how the song developed during the 69 tour. I like the first idea (Hyde Park). Ya Ya's version is, of course great (but the energy is not close to the 75 version, I think mainly because in 69 devil was too early in the set while in 75 it was the grand finale)

Since 89 devil is the worst song of the set.

En 2013, SFTD is nothing less than a suffering...

Funny you picked sftd as a highlight I actually like the jjf version on rnr circus although I wouldn't compare either of them to the 69 or 72 tours

GYYYO is my favorite, because it's clear, enjyable, and Mick Taylor's solo is awesome.

If they re-made this into a better version, this might be better... Mick is certainly better in this version.

Interesting to hear the R'n'R Circus version again. It's good - the percussion is impressively close to the original, the piano is fantastic, Jagger is good, Keith is okay, Brian's groovin' and Charlie's cymbal bashing is bloody irritating.

My top five is:
1. Studio version
2. Ya-Ya's
3. R'n'R Circus
4. Love You Live
5. Montreal '89 (or was it Toronto, when Keith did that amazing guitar solo? I'm not actually sarcastic now).
