I agree, Doxa, but keep in mind that MR is looser than the other songs, and leaves a lot of space for jamming.
That said, I think some of the looseness of the IORR live versions, compared to the original studio version, is still there today.
Then again, Woody wrote it
I think Bitch and Street Fighting Man today differ a lot to both the studio versions and live during the Taylor era as well.

Hah!
Supposedly he hasn't been invited back. That just makes my budgeting for this year easier, as I know I won't have to shell out any more money to hear more Taylor-less Stones. Glad I got to see them with Taylor at least once in my life, even though he was not permitted to play on any of the songs where he was on the original recording. We must never question the reasoning of the Great And Mighty Jagger (or does Chuck call the shots now, I'm not sure?)

If Taylor returned I believe the music would only get better and somewhat fresher. But as i said I am just a fan and have to take it or leave it. HI do hope they invite him back.

So true...the production of Steel Wheels in particular makes in virtually unlistenable despite some good songs...could have been so much better...
