How are they using this?

Who's getting screened out, who's getting screened in?

Older fans? Youthful new fans with better lifelines for the the band's music into the future?

I'm guessing the former because the latter, music sales, aren't the big generator for them now vis a vis no new album.

What are your thoughts on this cute gambit?
