Maybe it's the editor in me, but I read your list as top 20 - meaning like the songs had to be on the top of the charts. OH this tour anxiety is making me nuts.

Are you sure you don't mean "Complete Control?"

"Remote Control" is the track from the first album that CBS put out as a single in England against the band's wishes.

They were so pissed off about it that they wrote the single "Complete Control" as a response.

And I believe that "Remote Control" is the only song from their first album that was not included in the Clash On Broadway box set. So they never got over it.


Nice list. Got to love one that starts with the Monkees....
