I'm sure many of you are familiar with this, bit I iust came across it. It is too bad this did not evolve into a more complete tune... I love it. Some of the funkiest Stones ever.

Interesting how the bass seems to be the lead instrument, and seems to be plucked as though played like a guitar. Is that Keith on bass? Bill is usually never that upfront in a track.

It's recorded in Rotterdam (at least, I got it on The Lost Rotterdam Tapes).
I was living only five kilometers from the place where they parked the mobile recording
studio at the time.
Bad thing is, I was not even remotely aware of their existence at the time.
On the other hand, they weren't aware of my existence either...

I like it.I have noticed that when Jeff Beck played with the Stones he was very discreet, no big solo or crazy(but great) guitar playing like when he is on his own. I wonder why? Potential showing of the blade by Keef?
