I googled the name of the Lady and came across the quote from the book that no person dealing with the Loewenstein family can avoid history.
The Loewenstein family have been portrayed recently in our regional tv programme. I don't know how they are related but it must be a cousin who is now head of the German family. In that portrait he (Catholic, always loyal to the Emperor of the "Germany" of the Middle Ages/Early Modern Times) said that he fell in love with a noble lady of Protestant origin and eventually married her.
He looked up his family history and found out that their ancestors have fought war against each other a dozen or more times in four centuries...

I was just leafing through PL's book last night. It's got some good Stones stories, but the man goes on and on about his devotion to the Catholic Church and his family lineage. I just looked through it quickly, but there doesn't appear to be any explosive stuff in there. Anyhow, this is one of the photos from his book, A Prince Among Stones.
