"Walking Blues" recorded at the RnR Circus?

Read about this in "Uncut" mag that the Stones recorded this Robert Johnson song as well as "Love In Vain" (so way before Let It Bleed!!!) during their set at the RnR Circus...
Any clues?

I think the Stones did about 4-5 songs that are not part of the official package. Route 66 was one of them and a couple other blues tunes.

Is there a recording of this somewhere. I would love to hear this. I have also read about these jams in various stories about the circus.

This is out there besides the official releases:

- Parachute Woman rehearsal take
- You can't always get what you want rehearsal take

In not too good quality. The other songs are still not available. The first songs mentioned were maybe not even recorded as they were jams only.

I read about this in MOJo magazine when they were on the cover at the time of RnR Circus was released on DVD. It said that these warm-ups/jams were great and the band was really loose jamming a lot of old numbers.

Both were available on my (sold years ago) vinyl copy of "Rape Of The Vaults/Gravestones." Mick sounds like some old, wrinkly black singer on PW. I remember putting together a tape of the Stones for a Grateful Dead (yawn) fan, and in the liner notes I mentioned that this version of PW was the last time I could remember Mick sounding like the black singer he aspired to be on the band's first three LPs (England's Newest..., 12X5, The Rolling Stones Now!).

My friend wasn't impressed with the tape. When he and I get together (he lives near Santa Barbara, Californkia), and he drives me to Los Angeles airport (two to three hours, depending on traffic, right Stoneslib?), I am forced to listen to Grateful Dead shows. Mein Gott, the only thing that gets me through these excellently recorded but dead-boring Dead shows on the drive South is the thought of ordering double Dewar's/Soda in the (First Class Alaska Airlines/American Airlines) Ambassador's Lounge), popping a 10mg. Valium, and my First Class dinner flight back to Seattle.

Last time I took this flight, in August 2002, I cleaned out the Johnnie Walker Black whisky in First Class! Man, what a party THAT was!!!

there is a video of the "rehearsals" at the Marquee Club in preparation for Rock 'n Roll Circus mentioned late last year.
The guy who mentioned it has never come forward with the goods - maybe scared off by the bootleggers??
But he claims he has the rehearsals for the Rock 'n Roll Circus....not performed on the 2 days of filming, but from the Marquee Club.....

If only we had evidence he was telling the truth.....?

06-12-1968: Rehearsals/ camera tests in the Marquee. Only the Stones and the Who.

08-12-1968: Recordings session at Olympic sound studio for the Rock and Roll Circus soundtrack (only the Stones)

08-12-1968: Rehearsals at the London Derry Hotel, London (only the Stones)
09-12-1968: Rehearsals at the London Derry Hotel, London (only the Stones)

10-12-1968: Rehearsals at the Intertel Studios, London.

11-12-1968: Recording of the Rock and Roll circus.
12-12-1968: Recording of the Rock and Roll circus.

So there could be a film with these camera test rehearsals from the Marquee. But they cannot contain the mentioned Jams with Lennon and Clapton, as they were not present at date. Only the Who and the Stones were rehearsing in the Marquee. I still like to see the film!!!!!
