COC 59100 B4

Tonight is special.

I just took my Sticky Fingers album out of it's sleeve for the first time in at least 35 years.

"COC 59100 B4" pressed on the inner "run out" groove.

So... do I have a first pressing?

What's it worth?

I wish I had a record player... I didn't own one of those for over 30 years.

Possibly yes. You can also have a look on the label. As I understand it, the second label has the following text under The Rolling Stones box on the left side of the label:
A PROMOTONE N.V. RECORD
This text is missing on the very first labels

Here's the story...

in 2013 I own exactly 11 vinyl LPs.

I used to own 100's

I have no idea where they all went but my brother probably sold most of them when he was at home and on the dole.

Anyway... this is what I have left.

The Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones No 2
Got Live if You Want it
Get Yer Yas-Yas Out
Sticky Fingers
Jamming With Edward
Exile On Main Street
Goats Head Soup
It's Only Rock n Roll
Black and Blue
Emotional Rescue....

And.. (wait for it)... A Feast of Irish Folk Music II

That's it.

THAT'S IT

Where's all my other stuff?

I had all Bowie up to 82
All the Stones up to Tattoo You
Who.. Trex.. Jam... Sex Pistols... punk out my ears...

Where?

A great vinyl album place in the sky!

Sad.

"The Rolling Stones" is "MONO LK 4605" and looks it's age.

Jeeze... I'm holding something nearly as old as me.

That is sad GB. I'd gladly give you some of mine, but the problem is then you'd have it and I wouldn't.

What a predicament.

Second pressing from the label point of view. But still a very early copy

Agreed...and visit some vinyl fairs and buy used mint albums for pennies on the dollar (or pence on the pound as the case may be). Great way to massively increase your music library and not really spend all that much money.

COC 59100 A3/B3 has not
"A PROMOTONE N.V. RECORD" on the label.

(It has "GEMA". German pressing - that was the first pressing the record stores in Norway sold back in 1971 The top of the zipper is also a bit different)

I've been to the vinyl fair the last 2 times it came around...
I wasn't tall enough for the vinyl roller coaster and they wouldn't let me try the vinyl bumper cars...what a damn waste of time

Jimmy Crowley – The Boys OfFairhill 3:05
Dubliners, The – Seven Drunken Nights 3:26
Bothy Band, The – Pretty Peg / Graig's Pipes 3:39
Fureys, The – Shipyard Slips 4:14
Planxty – Johnny Cope Song And Hornpipe 5:10
Dubliners, The – Weila Weila Waile 2:15
Danny Doyle – The Rare Oul Times 8:17
Jimmy Crowley – Do You Want Your Old Lobby Washed Down Con Shine 3:23
De Danann – Glenbeigh Hornpipe / Mountain Lark / The Musical Priest 3:05
