Another one bites the dust! There goes the chance of a Traffic reunion show. Thanks for the first 2 albums in particular though Jim.

Wow - when and what was the cause? knew a groupie out here in Calif. that was
"with him" back in the 80's - HEAVY DRINKER!!!! she had to help / carry him out
of the clubs.... Great voice!! Saw him with Traffic a few times out here,
his harmonizing with Winwood on: John Barleycorn must die..........
I'll always remember!!!

rest in peace brother!!!! - MLC

Just goes to show, nobody lives forever. At least we still have his music which will live forever.

I remember when John Lennon said why all the fuss, you still have all the albums to listen to.

Keep in mind, if your getting older so are your favorite muscians. Nowadays, they are dying from natural causes, not the drug overdoses of the 60's and 70's.

Truly sad. Suberb relaxed attitude/approach to his instrument (and music). Some drummers are just vessels through which rhythm flows.

Yes to all everyone has said - I'm a Traffic fan since they were together (1967 - 75) & Capaldi was a great stylist on drums & a nice vocalist & co wrote most of Traffic's material (except a few Dave Mason songs) - also he appeared on Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert album (I prefer the original, before Jon Astley cut some songs in half) w/Winwood, Pete Townshend, & Ron Wood) - and his first couple of solo albums are cool too. RIP another recently deceased great drummer, Jefferson Airplane's Spencer Dryden, their 2nd drummer (of 4) during their 1966 - 70 prime.
