theres no circulating recording and probably never will be.

All of the guests were under strict instructions not to tape it. I've heard that whilst the Stones record every show theyve done for about the last 30 years, this was (deliberately) one exception.

Well that is sad
and why in the world would you not record that show?

Guess they have thier reasons

Maybe because it was one special night on wich they paid tribute to Stu.
But indeed did must one hell of a night.

Cheers,

I think they were overly concerned with it being bootlegged, I guess

Not recorded in respect to Ian Stewart and his family.

Some photos of the show are included in the STU book.

because it was a private show. Just friends and family. And these people don't record shows (as far as I know) Neither do The Stones...

This gig, along with the 1981 Worcester club gig and the full El Mocombo shows are the biggest mysteries. I guess the whole 1970-71 tours are too but at least we know what songs were played at those shows.

Potten Shrimp, do we really know if those supposed set lists are real. I mean every time I see those set lists it always says they supposedly played...
In Jean-Marie's book about the 78 tour there are articles about the El Mocombo gig and there are songs mentioned that were played that weren't on any set list I have seen from that gig.

Also I can't see the Stones playing a Mick Jagger solo song.

Just another night was only Jagger/Beck/Wymann/Watts I presume.......... Also these songs were played in a loose setting for some friends. No time for real rehearsals, so my guess is that most songs were jams. The 1977 gig-setlist are common knowledge. Which songs from here book are not on any setlist?

Just off the top of my head I thought it said Satisfaction and few others which I didn't think they played. I will look again when I am home tonight.
