SH had their original jam session in 2008. That means this is their FIFTH
ANNIVERSARY!!! So all kinds of special things are planned for this year...

Besides the documentary:

A full color brochure!

A new 30-second jingle!

And a full twenty minute live show in Dave Stewart's apartment!

Its gonna be great.

Plus a reissue of the album REMASTERED! and a BONUS DISC with absolutely no tracks! A blank bonus disc just to hang on yer wall! Also a deluxe box set that includes the original release, the remastered release, the no-track bonus disc AND! A COFFEE MUG!

Sounds GRRRRReat!

And yet there are those who insist the Rolling Stones are no longer trend-
setters...

Just you watch and see, soon EVERY group will be making almost no new music
and doing very few shows. Needless to say, U2's copy-cat instincts are as
good as ever...

Isn't this like watching a full length documentary on a one-hit-wonder from the 80s?

If the star from the 80's is Samantha Fox let's hope they shoot the docu in 3-D...

Poor Mr. Vox, playing catch-up again...

Listen, dude, the Rolling Stones have already not cared for seven eight years.

You might have done a bigger tour than the Stones, but no way no how will you ever care less!

I thought it was an interesting project. And I personally loved the record. It was very different from the things the Stones does, which is why I think the whole project was worthwhile. Jagger wanted to do something different. I feel sorry for those who thinks that Jagger only should be doing Stones music. And I feel sorry for Keith who is obviously being so lost in his musical past.

Agree with you.
Agree.
I also hugely prefer it over the stuff Keith did with Tom Waits.

Stewart really has Mick locked into that thing!

Dave Stewart = Mick's Yoko?

The Superheavy album reminds me of Paul McCartney's Flaming Pie album, in that when I've listened to them I've thought "nicely done, nicely done" but I never later find myself humming the tunes or even remembering them very well. (Whereas I'm regularly singing DOOM AND GLOOM and ONE MORE SHOT in the shower, and what not. Those songs "stick to my ribs" unlike Superheavy's stuff.)

Is it too cynical to say that pretty much all of Sir Michael's solo work is redundant? That we all would have done much better without it?

I freakin love this album. I probably listen to it more than anything that Mick or the Stones has done since maybe Wondering Spirit. Was glad that Mick did something without the Stones where he wasn't trying to sound like the Stones.

Oh! What a pity! We all love Superheavy and that kind of Mick triying to be modern stuff!

Seriously, seeing Ronnie and Mick Taylor doing the blues together, those Mick experiments became even more embarrasing.
