It's now been renamed something like "weird pictures posted while the boss was away" -which is a fair enough description. For a long time it was just called "." and it grew to around a thousand posts of silly pictures, rather like the "Joey" thread on Rocks Off. Off topic and a waste of valuable bandwidth I suppose, so it has now been renamed and closed and at least one of the chief contributors (stonesnow) appears to have been banned.

As for the negativity, it's an automatic reaction around here, and doesn't only happen to insiders.
