Here in Norway we have gotten news about Mick Jagger having throat-cancer and that an operation will make him unable to sing..Is there any thruth at all in this romours or is it a result of the Stones going on tour and just have to check the tires and check the gas before going in?

Oslo-Berlin-Vienna-Stockholm..++??

Hi,

See below.
Still no worry, at least to judge from the unreliable sources that yet has been seen paying attention to this... What paper is it in Norway?
But a rumour is a rumour; remember back in late-66 Mick was said to be dead.

I think its real. Supposely he was in Denmark in 2003 (tour stop for 2 shows) and had it checked and now he is back there again. We just have to wait and hope for the best, dont make it ridiculous.

sources can now confirm that there was indeed a 2002-2003 RS world tour; additional research from historians indicates that the mystery guitar player on the '75-'76 tour who stayed with the band turned out to be ronnie wood.

other hush-hush insider sources cautiously claim that everyone who has been in the RS group or associated with the band (and indeed all who have even heard of the band!) has been sick at least once in their lives....leading to wideranging speculation rampant on the internet that everyone who plays or listens to music has the ability to possibly get sick or have people wonder if they're sick.

this just in!!! -LIFE CONTINUES TO HAPPEN.

This could be a routine check up for the insurance companies who put up policies to protect big tours from going bad just in case of something like this happening during the tour. Every big tour has insurance banked on it and each member has to be physically fit to be involved in the venture. This is not just rock 'n roll ...it's a business!

Just wondering - he had symtomps of cancer in 2003... got some temporary treatments in Denmark and then he waited until 2005to check it out..... seems a bit odd to me.... If a person had had symtomps of cancer in 2003, he wouldn't have waited until 2005 to go for further treatments... He would have made a complete treatment then.... or is just me being to drunk tonight?

Denmark 2003 was only one show.

As this rumour seems to be spreading all over the tabloids of Scandinavia and probably will spread over to Holland, Germany and other European countries very soon it is about time for an official denial by the Stones management or Sir Mick himself.

Is life so boring in some parts of the world that the people who live there have nothing better to do except make shit up?

That was Charlie several years ago. The Norwegian Tabloids are still running Windows.

Well, at least this rumour puts to bed the earlier rumour of him touring alone!

More accurately, dancingmisterd can't think of anything better to do than digging up ancient threads.

Sort of like your (multi) daily bumps of a three year old thread with news about your beverage intake?

Okay, I completely missed the 2005 date on the original post. They heard that a Rolling Stone had throat cancer, and they all went "Oh, no! It MUST be Mick! How can he ever hope to SING again?" They couldn't even tell one Stone from another. Wasn't there "breaking news" about a Keith Richards solo tour of Scandinavia last year that turned out to really be a Mick Taylor solo tour?

OK, kiddo, this will be the second time I've had to straighten you out about something.

There is a difference between dredging up an ancient thread for useless purposes, and an ongoing thread that has been around for a while.

I think that statement should explain itself, but if you need further guidance, I'll refer you to mitchflorida. smoking smiley
