Wow! Light weighter? PMS? Just can't be. When I first heard the opening licks and the wonderful harmony of Mick Taylor gelling with The Stones. After decades? It was spine chilling. An amazing explosion of happiness, with a LA story of loss and regrets. An instant later day/retro classic.

But I also love Doom and Gloom and One More Shot. But they are strange in a way, kind of like their version of The White Album. They are in separate corners composing with an vision in their head, and then deliver it to the group for them to back it. SOme great rock and roll though.

Totally agree

I listened to PMS again this weekend. It would be wonderful if played. I like it much better than the last two.

Springsteen issued an album of 30-year old outtakes about the same time, and has played some of them in concert this past year. Unfortunately, the Stones don't rotate their material as much.

Boring track, no need to play it live ... except they add a bridge eventually.

excellent point. a rock song without a bridge is like a day without sunshine. or is it orange juice? well, it's something.

No bridge on "Like A Rolling Stone". Somehow that one worked out ok.

good point. i guess a lousy song like plundered is like a day without orange juice, then.

What's wrong with pineapple juice?

ok ok. a day without orange juice is sorta like a day without pineapple juice.

They also don't get out quite as often to do the material.

If this thread is turning into another "wish list"

...I vote that they play stuff from the SG out takes .

I wish they'd just do a tour of Some Girls and Deluxe...no other songs.

an all-outtakes tour would certainly shake up the industry.

"here's another one none of you know...."

"ok, now we're gonna play one that wasn't even good enough for dirty work...hope you like it..."

"here's another reject co-written by our downtrodden keyboardist..."

The outro is a bridge to nowhere.

it was the ill-fated followup to the smash-shit, back to zero.

But think of it this way: a day without orange juice is like a Rolling Stones concert without Brown Sugar--that is, refreshing and different.
