Awesome indeed, says more than an entire review...
Tonight the last show and I feel incredibly privileged that I was one of the lucky 100.000 to see one of their legendary 2012 shows.....unforgettable....
Thanks Jim and Bjornulf for sharing!

I am working through all my e-mail this morning, and the moment I see this photo taken by Jim Pietryga last night I know this is one of the best Rolling Stones shots made ever. Jim was in the pit at the right place at the right time. He is a great photographer, and this is a world class photo. I just wanted to share it - a must see photo.

This photo is telling the story of how the shoiw last night was so great. Just take a look. Keith has just done a riff, Ronnie is wathing Keith cloosely. Both focused. Mick in his own world connecting to the crowd. Charlie with the great smile he is having on every song all through the show. How can you not love these guys? This is a great, great band and of course a great, great photo. Thanks Jim for being there and keeping our memories!

PS. I have seen thousands and thousands of pictures of the Stones. This one is by far one of the best ever. The percect IORR magazine center pages. The perfect poster. The perfect Stones photo!

smileys with beer

We need more of these pics. Open your eyes Mick & Keith!

Thanks BV.

Great shot. I think this was during Around & Around

Uncannily enough, it appears to be It's Only Rock & Roll.
Thanks for the beautful shot, Jim Pietryga, BV and the ever-appropriate Rolling Stones :E

Amazing how Keith and Ronnie can appear to grip their guitar necks without much real fretting and produce the right notes. I guess that's what 60 years of guitar playing can do for you. peace

Superb shot. There are many rock photographers out there but few ever catch a band in a moment like this, they tend to focus on individuals or if they catch the whole band, it can look lifeless. Here, he has stole that millisecond of action perfectly.

Hope you can get it blown up on your wall BV and thanks for sharing.
