Wow, I love this song , it falls apart at the end and seems unfinished but Mick Taylor is on fire.

Why wasn't this finished/polished and released. Absolutely killer tune. I never understood how such a great song was left in limbo?!?

With the the re-cent re-issues, re-makes, re-dos, re-visits that have been happily foisted upon us - Why isn't something like TRAVELING' MAN re-issued, remade, redone and revisited and released? And how has criss-cross man eluded the various visits to the vault. The thing is, I don't care about that one so much as I do already own it. My question is why is it being held? If I answer my own question, I believe that the next golden age of Rolling Stones releases will (sadly) occur when they are gone. The thing is, it is simply more rewarding to have this music while the creators of it are still around.

Traveling Man sounds like a Lynyrd Skynyrd outtake. That might be the reason?

Don't think that sort of thing would ever prevent the Stones from working on a good song and I doubt they had ever even heard of Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1970. But I do hear the similarity to what would come to be known as Southern Rock. Love the tune in any case, guitarists going full tilt and Nicky banging out some great riffs.

A great song and wish they would officially release it in one way or another.

I abused this song while backpacking/train-hopping though Europe for the '14 On Fire Tour. Such memories.

It is a great track. Travellin Man and Blood Red Wine deserve a proper release.

Seems like this should have been on the Sticky reissue rather than (or in addition to) one of the alternate takes of released tracks.

There's nothing full tilt about Keith's playing, or is this a version I haven't heard? Will check it out.

Same version. The Stones becoming an ordinary rock band. Not my favourite, but nice playing from Taylor.

I have to think this is Jagger on rhythm guitar.

What's with the bump?! A candidate for the "Come to the Ball" backing track? Since it hasn't been pulled from YT it probably isn't !

I isolated the right channel and it dawned on me that’s probably not Richards playing rhythm. I’m guessing it’s a Jagger song and he’s playing it. Didn’t think it warranted a new thread.
