Mick Jagger & Keith Richards Top Ten

I saw a commercial this weekend which made me think that Mick & Keith were going to be on the show doing the Top 10 List. From what is shown on the site I can't verify that they're going to do it as opposed to it being ABOUT them. Anyone have more complete information?

And then I scrolled down the page and found:

Mick and Keith will be doing the Top 10 on Letterman. But I don't know if it's been taped or if they will both be there in person, on the show.

Yeah, gads, or maybe it could be reasons why Brits love Americans so much, huh, right before
the two last shows in the States? Lots of sarcasm there, perhaps. Oh, the mind runs wild.

Hi, Rockee! Any chance of you coming back out for another show this year? I hear Serbia
is trying to get the boys.

I thought of a good one if it's 'The Top 10 Things You Didn't Know About the Rolling Stones':
"Now instead of throwing TVs out hotel windows, we toss iPads."
They toss IPADS, says Letterman. Can't you just picture it? I'm here all week...

Rock icon Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones presents the "Top Ten Things I, Mick Jagger, Have Learned After 50 Years in Rock n' Roll" on the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Keith Richards, who had been previously scheduled to present the Top Ten along with Jagger, was at home under the weather and unable to participate in tonight's Top Ten.

The top 10 reasons Keith wasn't on Letterman
10. Patti needs him to defrost the 'fridge
9. He over slept...(no - not Keef!)
8. His limo took him to Jersey instead of NYC.
7.. Someone ate his shepherd's pie
6. He showed his driver the blade and it didn't go well.
5. A coconut tree incident.
4. He was speeding away from a rest-stop and when he was pulled over, he flourished his cap...it didn't go well.
3. He met up with Johnny Depp at the hotel bar - and we'll never hear the truth.
2. Mick was cranky.
1. Santa needs an inspiration and begs him to come to the North Pole to play Run, Rudolph, Run.smoking smiley

Where did you get that from? So, if true, Keith didn't feel well. Hope he is fine now again!

Watch: Mick Goes Solo on Dave’s ‘Top Ten’ as Keith Calls in Sick
by Adam Buckman | December 12, 2012 at 9:43 AM | The Late Show with David Letterman, TV News

As if to prove that you can’t always get what you want, Rolling Stones fans who were looking forward to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards delivering Tuesday’s “Top Ten” on “Letterman” had to settle for just Mick, as Keith called in sick

At least, that was the “official” reason given by CBS. “Keith Richards, who had been previously scheduled to present the Top Ten along with Jagger, was at home under the weather and unable to participate in tonight’s Top Ten,” the network said in a press release.

As a result, Jagger, 69, delivered the list solo on CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman.” It was titled “Things I, Mick Jagger, have learned after 50 years in rock ‘n’ roll.”

We have a feeling the title was altered from one that probably included Richards, 68, since “Late Show” had announced previously that both Stones would appear for this “Top Ten” list — marking their first-ever appearance on the show in a venue — the Ed Sullivan Theater — where they first appeared on “The Ed Sullivan Show” on Oct. 25, 1964.

Here’s the complete list of the “Top Ten Things I, Mick Jagger, Have Learned After 50 Years in Rock ‘n’ Roll”:

10. “Nobody wants to hear anything from your new album.”
9. “Never take relationship advice from Phil Spector.”
8. “Before shouting ‘Hi Seattle!’ make sure you’re in Seattle.”
7. “You don’t earn a cent when someone does a song about having moves like Jagger.”
6. “Everybody you meet after you become famous is only interested in you as a person.”
5. “Song royalties are great, but even they can’t match the guaranteed cash flow of a reverse mortgage.”
4. “A good way to keep yourself entertained is to sign every 10th autograph ‘Doris Goldblatt.’”
3. “Be considerate of other hotel guests — trash your room by 10 p.m.”
2. “You can’t always get what you want — like a good joke on the top ten list.”
1. “You start out playing rock ‘n’ roll so you can have sex and do drugs. But you end up doing drugs so you can still play rock ‘n’ roll and have sex.”
