Hotels, no. Rehearsal space, yes?

So we can't discuss which hotel they are staying at. That's fine. Just watch your local news, they'll tell you most likely. But, we ARE allowed to talk freely where they are rehearsing, for example, recently in Paris. What's the difference? If it's a security issue, then we should keep quiet about every single location they've ever been and are going to be at. Keith has been seen many times at a local cafe near his house. But we shouldn't disclose the location, right? Top secret, security. But, detailing exactly where they are rehearsing is fine?

Where's the logic in that?

The difference is a rehearsal space is a place of work, like being at the office and on the job as Rolling Stones, which is why fans were allowed into their rehearsal space recently in Paris, whereas a hotel room is a place of leisure and rest, a more personal space. When was the last time they invited fans into their hotel rooms? What do you want to do, watch them brush their teeth or something?

I suspect fans have been invited into the hotel room of a Rolling Stone on more than one occasion. And not necessarily one at a time.

They usually stay at the Four Seasons.

Yes, but I don't think this topic involves the groupie days of the 60s and 70s.

It's not about inviting someone to a hotel room. The reason bv doesn't want us discussing hotels, past and present, is because there could be a psycho out there that wants to harm them and bv doesn't want to be responsible for that. That's understandable. But, if that's the case, then why are we allowed to talk about rehearsal spaces and their exact locations? Mick Jagger was recently at Ed Sullivan Theater. Should we not have discussed that beforehand for security reasons because some nut job could have showed up? What about book signings? Public events? For some reason hotels are off-limits. Is it because bv doesn't want us disturbing their sleep?

The less said about their whereabouts the better. If you find something out keep it to yourself.

There's still a difference. At the rehearsal space, they are protected by security staff, whereas at their hotels they might not be to the same extent. Yes, Jagger was at Ed Sullivan Theater, but take a look at who he showed up with.
