Hello Guys!
Well here's my review.
Waiting on a Friend.
Yep I liked it! Nice mix, guitars are not too loud. Nice pickin' for the solo parts. I like the mood - it's very laid back. I think there's 3 guitars in there, so good mixing.
Vocals - I've heard worse, a lot worse. Your English diction is very good Kent!
You're singing is nearly there for the song!
Backing vocals are really hard to do Lorenz.I reckon you could do them, but it takes a lot of practice. You have to listen only to the harmony on the record to get the right notes.
Dead Flowers
I'm listening to this as I type. Vocals need to be louder - but they work.
The lead guitar parts are from the D chord on 5th fret (1st 2nd 3rd and 4th strings mainly) - it's a blues scale.
The speed is about right. It's laid back again - that's a good thing.
We (Stikkyfingers) play this song and it always goes down well!
Stick at it guys - if you had heard us 25 years ago you would have said we would never be any good - lots of people think we are good now (thank God!).
Regards,
Ian.
