I enjoyed it too, it looks like they were having fun with it, but Jimmy was acting as if he was back on the powder, didn't notice that in his prior couple of interviews.

And Jimmy Page explained why a post-Bonzo Zeppelin would not fly, there being so many intricate improvs to do, so any other drummer would be like Kenny Jones in The Who (i.e., OK, but not necessarily great).

Kind of like replacing Bill Wyman with Darryl Jones. At least the Who got it after a while and found someone better.

I respect the surviving members of LZ to realize they are a Legacy now, no need to take the show on the road for their 45-60 year old fans after 30+ years apart... and it's not like we haven't seen them "reform" a few times over the years, they've given their Fans a peek at the "after-life" of a Band, post break-up. Good enough for me

From what I've seen of the 2007 O2 performance, they seem pretty tame. Of course the 2012 Stones might seem pretty tame if we hadn't seen them on stage for 30 years.

I thought Dave was uncommonly stiff during the interview.

Me too. Nervous? I don't know.

I didn't think it was cool when he said "you guys broke up when the drummer died" something like that.

good lord he actually said that?!

Led Zep should reassemble as Led Allison so Plant's vocal crutch Allison Krauss could tour with them& hit Robert's high notes for him. thumbs up

Stop...I saw Plant 18 months ago...best concert I've seen in years...prolly top 5 ever.

Well said, and agreed... and a forever respect paid to Gonzo.
John Bonham, one of the greatest rock and roll drummers of all time.

Always liked this one too.

I don't find the interview stiff. I think it is relaxed, and the guys seem to be enjoying themselves. I suspect that now, that everyone finally accepts that there will be no reunion, they feel comfortable accepting the accolades for their work and seem genuinely proud. I am happy for them.

Dave was fine. Was clearly into it, he does like good music.

I saw Plant with Kraus and they were fantastic. Plant was in great vocal shape, and played some nice guitar as well. His last three solo albums have been fantastic, better than any of his 80's work by far.

Not sure what the hub-bub is about the interview. We never get a chance to see the guys relaxed, feeling no pressure to spout historical data (all of which we've already heard ten times over before) and joking around--together. The interview made them look like legends--mission accomplished.

Not sure what kind of interview some of you were looking for this was entertaining and a great way to see the guys together.

Wasn't looking for anything specific, just astounded at what a dolt Dave was. His worst ever.

Well I'd heard he would be quite good but certainly better than I expected. I'd seen him in '88 or '89 I think, a good concert but not a great concert. In fact I say Dylan and the Who around then...all not too good (except for the Stones!).

Robert Plant was fantastic....great pipes, great interpretations.

Robert Plant is a hoax.

No way is that the same guy.

He was replaced around about 1976.

Letterman came off as a buffoon. Horrible.

Letterman: "in 1980...the drummer dies"

wow! he's talking to his bandmates and does not even use Bonham's name.

i was a big letterman fan in the 80s. he has been cringeworthy for 20+ yrs....but he was
relatively ok in this one. best lines (to me) "next time you fly...unbotton your shirts" and "after
getting to know you a little this weekend, i feel like i should be in the band."

IORR............but I like it!

No.. they are two different people.

I think they replaced John Paul Jones as well.

I'm also a bit suspicious about Page as well, the guy now has white hair. Jimmy Page doesn't have white hair.

Raising Sand was inspired, just a great album. I was introduced to Alison Krauss via that album. Alison Krauss has something like 25 Grammy awards, more than any other individual popular musician. Her group, Alison Krauss and Union Station, may be the greatest current American popular music group. I saw them recently, and to watch them play the traditional American instruments - steel guitars, banjo, fiddle - and hear Alison's just effortless vocals! If you have a chance to see them, I would recommended you go if you can have an open mind about music - it's not classic rock. It's the best bluegrass has to offer, and it's as important a form of American music as the blues.

interview was fine. the Office guy that came out next had a pretty funny Zep story about what took place one day when he was a page on the Conan O'Brien show

Oh, Jimmy Vaughan and...Gary Clark Jr. too.
