Well, it's been fantastic so far and there is obviously petrol still in the tank.

So a tour of some kind.

But.. PLEASE... I beg.. not the stadium nonsense.

If there's no stadium shows, imagine how much scalpers would be getting for tickets! At their age, they couldn't do multiple shows in every city. Alot easier to do one Wembley versus 3 02 shows, etc.
After just seeing Paul McCartney at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, then Springsteen the next night across the street at Rogers Arena, I was thinking it would be awesome to see the Stones in an arena show where everyone is so much closer!

Stadiums are crap.

Thing is how do you maintain £16 million for 4/5 concerts without stadiums ?...

They don't but they'll still take it. Charlie's probably fine too.

I like stadium gigs! Great atmosphere, nothing like. I also like arenas.

Look at it this way - stadium gigs = cheaper tickets - and I might be able to afford to bring my little boy to see these legends!

If they do a stadium everything gets bigger.. stage is bigger... Mick runs around more... exaggerates his moves more... sings worse...

It's crap.

End of story.

This has been a joy... don't kill it.

This isn't 1981 anymore, he did fine at Oakland 1997 in front of 80000 people. Frankly singing to 20000 or 80000 probably doesn't make a huge difference, it's mind boggling either way. Not sure what he can be thinking...I was wondering about that the other day when I turned around from the front of the pit, especially since there wasn't much audio feedback.

Yes indeed. They have nestled into the "stadium sound" for a long time now. The last two shows have been an improvement definitely.

Unfortunately, I really don't think they can sustain this much dedication and focus when they go on the road next year. If there was any time to see the band it'd be these 5 shows, hitting all cylinders and focused. Next year I'm afraid will remind us of how things used to be, regardless if they're in stadiums or not...

I pray that I am wrong...

I think Mick can manage his endurance, saving powers, in any stage- bigger or smaller. Noone expects to see him running "coast to coast" in a stage, 10 times during a gig. It's no necessery.

I still like stadium gigs, for many reasons. Among them, the most important factor to me: stadiums = much more young people. Arenas & stadiums, something like "Licks Tour"... Why not? IMO the "key" factor is... longer breaks between the gigs.

Yes, long breaks, even up to several months so they can work on other projects or just rest and then click quickly when they get together again.

apparently, Keith will allow us to keep the money, so there may be some savings in ticket prices from just that.
