make you teary-eyed?
Posted by: duke richardson ()

i'll say and don't mind telling all --the clips I've seen have brought tears to my eyes, especially Gimme Shelter and Midnight Rambler, from thursday.

i'm sure this is not uncommon among us..

don't mean to be over sentimental..its really being proud of the stones, for their accomplishments, and glad to be seeing them in such fine form.

Keith- stepping up like a champion.

Sure its nostalgic seeing and hearing Mick Taylor again with the band but its musically uplifting and very positive all around, especially for him.

I do know where he's coming from though and I've had the goose bumps watching those clips. They really must kkep this tour going for as long as possible.

the occasional goosebump is acceptable...but anyone caught sobbing needs to be carted off the premises

Yes, pay no attention to StonesTod. He's just gets upset that he can no longer cry since having his tearducts removed. His kids kept making fun of him for crying at Hallmark commercials.

Then why do Texans listen to so many sad country songs? Seems a dangerous pasttime.

Must say that when Taylor popped up on stage on Sunday it was pretty moving...as well as seeing Bill being teary eyed himself...

Back in the early 1970s I got so excited during the climax of Midnight Rambler (Ya Yas) I kicked my bedroom door - chipping a piece of the wood. I had one hell of time explaining this to my father. When I saw the clip of Rambler the other night, it did move me to a tear or two. I love the Stones and when they are gone - there is nothing that can replace them - nothing. Yes, I know - I need to get a grip. winking smiley

im not going to admit i was like Gazza (not our Gazza, but paul Gazza in the 1990 world cup)...but it was close call watching midnight rambler with Taylor...

a bit like when yer watching a weepy flick with the missus and you dont want her to see you blarting uncontrollably...you give a little cough and clear yer throat and hope it goes away.
Dont ever watch Toy story3 - the ending with leave you a gibbering wreck lol

I must confess that I got a bit teary-eyed in Midnight Rambler, and I also felt a bit emotional and really proud of Keith to see him play and sing so well after so much slagging off (and I admit that I had slagged him off a bit....was really happu to be put back in my place on Sunday night and again last night -THE STONES ARE BACK!!!

Agree - I cried at the end of that one. I cried in TS 2 during that Sarah McL song too.

I must admit I was very moved by the utterly fantastic version of GS played yesterday (which I saw on YT). Imho Ms Welch's screaming is rather irritating but the boys played great.

As good as the one from Paradiso'95? You decide...
