Great opener, didn't expect it to sound that good

I agree Erik! Very pleased with this opener. Brave. Different. And pays homage to their friends who helped them when they needed it. Very historical opening. And sounded great!

I was gonna make a tarty comment about them opening with a Beatle song but whitem8 put it much better. I hope everyone who went had a great time.
How was Midnight Rambler with MT ? Unless they were gonna play We Love You (with Macca) or have you seen your mother baby i think rambler would be the one i'd most look forward to. I saw them at the last Wyman gig at wembley (1990 ?) and i remember thinking it stood head and shoulders above the other tracks. Definitely got a glimpse of their former greatness with that one. It was amazing especially the tempo pick up and mouth organ bits.

Might I be so bold as to say "they sound great! The guitars sound full, fat, and wonderful! Ronnie's solo on 'I'm Going Down' is the best sounding (that means both the tone of his guitar and the notes he played) solo I've ever heard him play as a Stone. Beck was awsome! And Bill seemed right at home. The best they've sounded since '72' here in America, at least that's what I hear. Now for the set list,...............(Ha! no comment, it's The Stones baby, I'll leave that to them).

In "Goin Down" Keith looks left out for s good bit, but I dug his solo the most.

Palace Rev, I agree with both points, Keith's solo was the best I've heard him do in decades in fact. But imagine yourself on stage with Jeff Beck doing a 'fantastic' guitar work and then Ronnie turning into the guitar player you've been waiting to hear for years (Awsome Ronnie!) and 'not' feeling left out? lol. Keith had to dig deep and he scored.
