In Denmark they seem to prefer HANSI HINTERSEER - a more fresher version of Jagger

You mean the Stones moved David Hasselhoff off the top of the German charts?

Shocking! Simply shocking!

And keep in mind that Superdeluxe was 39 Euros for weeks on amazon.de This would make sales x5 or x6. Pure math, I guess winking smiley

An arena show in Germany would be great. I'm hoping for the Festhalle in Frankfurt.
Would kinda be my second Stones at the Festhalle, as my mum went there in 1982 three weeks before I was born. ;-)

Don't Germans make music?

I can only think of Kraftwerk (who I like very much).

Mmmh, well, we have some international known acts:

Nena
Tokio Hotel (heard they became famous in the US)
Nina Hagen
Scorpions (thumbs down)
Kraftwerk
Rammstein (of course)
Tote Hosen
Scooter (of course again)

At least I´ve heard, they are known outside Germany ....

And yes, my mother loved D. Hasselhoff back in the 80s .... I remember going to the record shop in 88 just before christmas: got myself a Stray Cats-LP (cool) and for my mum DH (I felt a little ashamed about that one)!

Wait, you mean to say that Danish listen to that Austrian music? I didn't even know anyone knew him outside Austria... He used to be a (good) skier, actually... A friend once got his phone number by chance and we called him one night, really drunk...

There are German acts in popular music, but I normally do not like them, since pop and rock are tied to the English language. I do not like Italian pop either, although I like Italy. Best German entertainment music was done in the twenties, but it was blown away by the nazis. There are good German Jazz acts and of cousre there are good classical musicians.

I was there to on all three shows first row. Twice on the left and once on the right and everytime the front row had been the same poeple. I remember Bill Wyman was nodding his head and knew us. Yes he can move a littletongue sticking out smiley
the best night ever was the 2nd night in Frankfurt. Mick came out with the USflag instead of the German and the crowd was wild from the first moment. I just remember the smell of dope. Those were the times, but they are not worse today anyway.

Well, as a market and reg. crowd attendance, concerts, etc. Germany has by far been the biggest Stonesplace in Europe, - at least since 1970.

Yep, TRIO was indeed very cool and pathbreaking ... btw: they were produced and spotted by Klaus Voorman!

Neu!
Cluster
Can
La Düsseldorf
Tangerine Dream

Just to mention some Electronic music pioneers from the seventies/eighties. All still big in Japan. This music sounds as fresh as 30-40 years ago. I love it.
