Bernard also mentioned on his facebook page that Matt Clifford will be joining the tour. He posted this 2 months ago. As of today, that post a total of zero likes. tongue sticking out smiley

I'd prefer that Lisa et al not join the band for this outing and we get as stripped down a version of the Stones as possible.

With the ticket prices set so high, the band may outnumber the crowd

Thank you Woz!

And may I add that Lisa is not fit to kiss the shoes of Merry Clayton.

Nope. The best version of GS was Paradiso '95. Hands down, argument over.

Nice for Lisa to join the festivities, but I was quite looking for a different sound on this tour...they've done the right thing to drop the horn section, I did want them to tone down the choir they tour with also. Mick needs Bernard and Lisa, does Keith need Blondie? Hope he stays behind.

I have always thought there was something strange about Lisa smiling and singing Brown Sugar. They aren't singing about Coka Cola...

Same with Gimme Shelter. Back in 72 it is just plain menacing. With Lisa she is smiling while singing about rape and murder. Just inappropriate.

so much for the stripped down stones......this is bad news here comes the satisfaction opera instead the satisfaction rock tune.....she's was great on shelter in '95-'02 but she is no longer needed.....she can't carry it anymore and she ruins too many other songs........I'm fine with bernard.....but lisa=NOOOOOOOOOOOO WAY!!!!

I like how they rope us into these high prices for stripped down stones.....and slowly they add the annoying pieces back.....and then add more shows.......what's next matt clifford??? That would be the ultimate FU

I thought Charlie wanted stripped down. Hate the interaction between Mick and Lisa, it's so lame. Regarding "Shelter", last time I saw them at the Garden, her voice cracked big time when she went for the high note. Lovely woman but I was hoping they'd leave her out this time.

Yeah, Mick kissing Lisa's toe - hopefully it was washed before. Bad toesmell is nothing to lick yawning smiley)

Guys, guys...You're both wrong. Until Paul Anka puts his signature whoop on this classic, the best version of Gimme Shelter remains elusive.

Everybody who ever has wants to be playing with the Stones this time out, maybe their last chance. One big party and who can blame them, sounds like alot of fun for everybody involved. peace

Face it, they ain't changin' nothin' at this point. This is not the ruthless live Stones of the 60s and 70s, changing piano players, horn players, whatever to suit their new persona. There is no new persona. It's practically the same Steel Wheels, rusted and immobile. No wonder Bill took the money and ran.

I'd much rather see Dick Taylor.
