You mean the one done my MOJO magazine? That's the only YouTube clip I could find.

There's also a couple another doc, one done in 1990 The One & Only Rolling Stones. Some parts are blocked because of copyright reasons.

Are you familiar with the unauthorized doc Just For The Record? It's 5 discs and covers up to 2002, but no actual Stones music.

However, if this is the doc you were referring to in your above post, I'll try and find the full-length version.

Certainly covers the most aspects. It's the best yes, but I just wish that it was not so messy put together. A little more focus on the editing, and it'd be perfect.

The makers of the elusive DVD Let It Bleed: 40 Years of the Rolling Stones, Rudi Dolezal and Hannes Rossacher (DoRo Produktion GmbH), also directed the official 1981 live version of Time Is On My Side.

Must admit I'd never heard of that documentary, hope it gets reedited at some point or "tree'd", the TIOMS brings back fond memories though ;-)

It was broadcasted first on ARTE, 14 July 2002, 08:40pm.

I was hoping they would do it again for the 50th anniversary, but they have not sad smiley

With due respect to everybody's opinions, I wasn't that impressed with that documentary. Yes, it's "lenghty", yet I don't recall any particular revelation or much obscured footage in it.

thank you Deltics!! and stonesnow too!!

the For The Record Docu is fantastic, specially for the detail on the 80s and 90s! I recommend it even if it lacks stones music!

Here's another interesting mini-documentary, about an hour long, called The One and Only Rolling Stones. It's a 2003 documentary. I posted above that some parts were unavailable, but appears all 4 parts can be viewed from YouTube. Interviewed throughout are such figures as Dick Taylor, Marianne Faithfull, and one "Sir" Jimmy Savile....

well, the difference with this one and 25x5 and CH is that its an independently made movie with no official band input done specifically for it. So by that nature, there's going to be less 'fresh' stuff from the archives. Its a good update of 25 x 5 (it uses some of the same 1989 interviews), but with more depth.

Its certainly the most comprehensive of the three (longest time wise and also covers a longer period than the other two). Its quite irreverent in parts too (Keith Altham's contributions were hilarious, I thought).
