Palace Revolution 2000The word 'underrated' has been used too much; but I think it is entirely appropriate in this case. Like Silver Dagger I see this as the opener in my fantasy show.Quote
Silver Dagger
The most underrated hit in the Stones cannon. My wish is that they play it this time round and even start with it. You wouldn't find a better start to the show than that.
I like that they kept the song, the actual released version, alive; the frantic speed, the volume, the horns - the imperfections.

Indeed. The first punk rock song if you ask me.

Whew! I was really sweating it that the esteemed Mr. Snow would not share my opinion on this "really groovy" track.
If I was doing their set list "Have You Seen..." would be the third song in the set.

The first time I herad it was on VH-1. It was the Ed Sullivan performance and I thought "I've got to find the album this is on". I went out and got Through the Past Darkly for this song and it turned out to be a great comp.

"Mother Baby" is on "Past Darkly"? How about that... I haven't even looked at that album in so long. Does anyone still own the octagonal cover?
I want to say that back in the day my copy of "Past" had a different track selection. I am pretty sure that it had "Sittin on a Fence" and "Better Move On" on it. Was the London/Decca thing still in play at that time?

Such a sweet comment 1962!
This and other semi-forgotten or lesser-played songs bring back some great memories of life then when we were very young and rather innocent.
Like "Out of Time" and Chris Farlowe's early albums etc. etc.
