Flashpoint was # 6 ??? WHOA!!!....probably because we all had to buy it for the two new studio tracks...D&g may go a bit higher but not much...

Flashpoint created a bunch of new fans of my generation (I'm 32).
Highwire really rocked my world and I had to have that album.

I'm surprised BtB only made it to #6...

Los Angeles rock radio stations are playing DOOM AND GLOOM a lot. I love the song, so it's great to turn on my car radio and have DOOM AND GLOOM come on. It's obviously something listeners are requesting a lot. Fun to have a Stones hit out there.

I'm confused (maybe I missed it in the list) but I remember getting Hot Rocks on vinyl in 1976. But on the list it says 1990...wasn't 1990 the reissue?smoking smiley

I am guessing that was the CD release and everyone went out and bought the CD, and it charted higher than the original release? If so that is an interesting tidbit. Hopefully George will clarify for us.

I've always been a bit perplexed by the first week ranking in the charts, doesn't depend a lot on the competition?

It was released in the UK in June 1990, the original US release date was on December 15, 1971.
