Maybe they will film it all, come out with a movie that rivals CS Blues. I'm thinking that being stuck on a plane with that crew would be a nightmare beyond comprehension.

beepee's comment about the commercial viability of the shows in the wake of Mick and Ronnie touting the great expense of their shows has me smiling this morning. peace

(Now, c'mon, admit it, peeps, this is the coolest fcuking thing ever)

The subject of global speculation shrouded in secrecy for one solid month is
finally revealed as worldwide superstar Rihanna announces the routing of her
unprecedented "777" tour, 7 club shows in 7 days in 7 different countries,
with contest winning fans partying with Rihanna on her plane the whole time...

The "777" tour will proceed as follows:

November 14th in Mexico City
November 15th in Toronto
November 16th in Stockholm
November 17th in Paris
November 18th in Berlin
November 19th in London
November 20th in New York City

Rihanna will announce the venues directly to her fans when she arrives in their city.

"I am so excited about the 777 Tour," said Rihanna. "We are turning this
jumbo jet into our tour bus. We’re practically living on this thing for a week:
sleeping, partying, all together. Me, my fans, the press…it’s going to be a
wild ride. I wanted it to be a rock n’ roll adventure, and I think when
it’s over it will be the coolest thing I’ve ever done. I’m that excited about it."

Had a dream last night
I was piloting a plane
All the passengers were drunk and insane...

Gumboot's right. Just make believe its the Stones...

1) Since her currently #2 single and 2013 tour are both called "diamonds" each of
the 150 contest winners on the plane got a bracelet with a real diamond in it,
along with a big bag of regular tour swag, tshirts socks etc

2) the club shows are stripped, just her and her band, no staging, no dancers,
and zero rehearsals. many more contest winners in each city get in free.

3) here rih plays stew and serves her fans champagne

day 6 of 7, London

1) this is how tickets are distributed for these theatre shows. rihanna tweets
"go down to the corner of Leicester and Crumb streets" and waiting for you
are about a thousand free tickets, first come first serve. this will happen today
in NYC
.

2) do you hate michael jackson madonna gaga katy perry broadway-type productions?
you've got an ally. and rih is the only one with the power to do anything
about it. these stripped down guitar-heavy shows of hers are potentially
industry-changing. can she change the market all by herself? let us pray.

3) 7 shows in 7 days in 7 countries was not enough for her. so she snuck in
a short show yesterday afternoon at some store where she also turned on the
christmas lights. her paycheck for an hours work: 8 million dollars.

4) this is what she looked like (with stella mccartney) at the afterparty in
london yesterday. after six days on a plane with very little sleep.
yeah 8 shows in 7 days is apparently not enough for her. she needs afterparties
too.

5) her new album released yesterday, her 7th in 7 years, is shockingly good.
she keeps changing music every year. the way musical artists used to listen
to stones records and watch stones shows to figure out what they should do
next, that's the rihanna situation now.

L7 had a raffle a few years ago where the 'lucky' winner got to spend the night with the drummer.

That must be the ultimate fan-friendly prize, I think.

Granted, she was a bit of a boiler IMO, but each to their own. Now if it was the Pussycat Dolls that offered a prize like that, on the other hand....

Doing concerts in Mexico, Toronto and Strockholm in 3 days with "partying on her plane the whole time" in between? + another 4 concerts in another 4 days with another trans-Atlantic flight + the partying again?

Yes, it sounds cool, but even Keith in his wildest days would not be able to survive it. Or anyone else. It is an utter nonsence, but I would be really curious about the third concert after two long long flights (with constant partying). I 'don't even dare to imagine the quality of the performance the seventh night.
