Folk might think its sad whats happened to Mick T,but it would be even sadder if he was pretending that he could still play a guitar.....

Not to take away from Ron Wood's exceptional image, the greatest musical loss to the Stones was losing Mick Taylor. You guitarists out there, listen to the modes and scale substitutions he is continuing to use and expand on even at this stage of his career. Sure, his playing lacks those singing finesse runs up the fretboard seen and heard in the Golden Age, but his musicality and much dexterity is well intact. I love this guy.
Problem is, you can't sublimate Taylor behind another lead player. He needs to be alpha lead in order to shine. I don't see how that could be done diplomatically with RW in the mix. Oh right, put RW on bass, like how he began his career. Win-win for everybody, especially us.
